Trail Building Retreat at Sacred Mountain Waters

Riverside trail

Calling all trail-blazers!

If you’re tired of being inside and want to get to some fresh air and exercise in nature, come join us for our first trail-building retreat. Our Blue Ridge Mountain retreat center has 260 acres of pristine forests and two miles of creek frontage that we will be exploring while we talk about trail building and forestry. We will be running saws, swinging picks, and building retaining walls with mortar and stone.

We will also have plenty of time to relax, enjoying hearty meals, campfires, and music, along with the hot tub, the sauna, and cold plunges in the creek or pond. We will work for a few hours each day, using the rest of the time to deepen our connection to nature and community.

All meals will be provided. Lodging in the guesthouse or newly constructed LOVEvolution Lodge will also be complimentary. Camping is also available if you prefer to sleep under the stars.

Over the next few years we plan to expand and improve our hiking trails at Sacred Mountain Waters. This retreat will begin that process with work on specific sections to connect different parts of the land. We will also be discussing the larger picture of land management, trail engineering, and forestry. We hope this will be the first of many such trail-blazing gatherings. Join us if you feel inspired.
